We have heard from several residents asking for updates regarding the building out of our community. We have heard you and are starting an initiative to publish a monthly newsletter.
BUDDY’S DOG PARK
PARKLate in the summer, “Buddy’s Dog Park” was completed. Named after one of our first residents beloved dog “Buddy”, this park is a tribute to him and the life he lived at McKinley Beach. This dog park is located to the south of Hilltown, and accessed from Porcupine Point Court or from below, along the new Hilltown Drive extension. We are excited to enable more outdoor enjoyment for the families with furry members of the household!
TRAFFIC CALMING BOULEVARDS AND BICYCLE PATH ON HILLTOWN DRIVE
These traffic calming measures were required by the City of Kelowna in order to slow traffic and increase the safety of what has become a busy thoroughfare. We’re pleased to announce that these newly installed traffic calming boulevards on Hilltown Drive are now complete! These additions, alongside freshly painted road lines and a dedicated bicycle path, enhance both safety and accessibility, creating a friendlier environment for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers. This is a fantastic improvement as we continue to foster a safer, more connected community for everyone.
Hilltown Drive – South Extension Opening
Hilltown Drive extending south to McKinley Road is now open. This marks the completion of Hilltown Drive until such time as future development occurs in that area. This connection will allow for improved connectivity for vehicle traffic traveling South toMcKinley Road and on to Glenmore Drive.
